I'm back!

Well, we are back form our loooooooong vacation and we had a marvelous time. Oregon and Washington are such beautiful states. The weather was great and family was good. Most of you follow my dad's blog so I wasn't too concerned that you weren't getting updates. So, I will continue were I left off in June...
Josiah had a great summer. Here a list of his accomplishments.... homework, he is reading a bit better. He learned how to ride his bike with no training wheels. He lost two teeth. (I yanked them out a week apart from each other. They were hanging by threads!! Not for the squeamish!) He also went to two camps... A kids camp where he was a Junior Camper. We all were there helping out. And we went to Family Camp. Incidentally, this is the same camp that I went to from babyhood to teenager. Never missing a year until I graduated high school (I think) I haven't been back in 15 years. Now I was able to show my kids where I accepted Jesus in my life. (Josiah took communion for the first time here. He knew what all the elements mean.) He even attended kids church in the same building I did!!! (It sure looked a lot smaller!) One funny thing is there is a playground here that I of course played on as a kid. And I totally remember playing on the merry go round and eating those little plastic cups of orange sherbet and vanilla ice cream with a wooden spoon! Weird what you remember. Later, when we went camping, he got the opportunity to ride behind a jet ski boat on a raft. He loved it. He even fell off and just bobbed in the water until we came back for him. (I think I lost ten years off my life! What even came over me to let him go?)
Lilly - where do I start? She really blossomed over the summer. Her language and verbal skills really took off. She loves imagination. And she wraps her grandma and grandpa around her little finger. She tries to do everything Josiah does. And loves to wear dresses. She also doesn't care when she gets dirty. Next post....Lilly turns three!

Mom says, "Good job, Jana!" The party looks like it was a real hit. You worked hard on it but I'm sure it was appreciated. I wonder if Lilly will remember it when she is 33? We were counting up all of Josiah's "firsts" but I forgot the communion. Love ya. We'll be home Wednesday.
