The Box

Okay, as I mentioned in the post above, I got a lot of work done at the cabin. A more accorate statement would have been, WE got a lot of work done. Do you have those friends that will do just about anything for you? Those little projects you just can't finish on your own, as soon as your friends are there, BAM, they give you what you need to finish? Well, I have that kind of friends. Since about December, I have been volunteering at Josiah's school about once a month to do a craft with the kids. I know, I come by it honestly. Thanks mom. I actually love doing it and look forward to being a room mom. I thought it would be a great idea to make the teacher, Ms. S. a box of crafts. Complete with everything she would need for 18 crafts for 20 students. I didn't realize at the time what a huge project this was going to be. Thanks to my mom, I had most of the supplies and many of the crafts already. I scoured the internet for more, made a couple up. And viola, I had my list of 18 crafts. Now all I needed to do was assemble it. Enter my friends. So the weekend we went to the cabin I took it all with me. 4 bags of craft supplies. My friend brought me a box and binder and we all set to work making kits. And samples, and organizing. Needless to say I have wonderful friends! To make a long story short. We gave the box to Ms. S. yesterday and she LOVED it!!! I mean really really loved it. She was so appreciative and knew that a lot of work was put into it. She is totally going to put it to use next year and I'm excited to know how it works!

This is what the worlds best 1st grade teacher looks like with the worlds best 1st grader. Almost 2nd grader. Ms. S. really is an amazing teacher.
